Lessons to Think About: Discerning the Will of the Most High

Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011
The following lesson was prepared by Fidel Gallevo.
"Come to me, all you who labour and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." - Matthew 11:28-30

To accept the present moment, the reality that we see must be taken "as it is". It will affect us, of course. We cry for the sad things that happen. Not just the little things but the major turmoil that could possibly happen in our day to day life - like a death in the family or a diagnosed breast cancer to an aunt. As human beings, we have to face this reality. It is never enough to muster much courage in order to confront the challenge we are facing. We need the Grace of the Almighty God to know what is the "good" it will bring us. Yes! The goodness of God will come out in every scenario in our life. Always! No man escapes God's attention! It is only then that we could move on with our life. With gained confidence and strength, we are now ready to take on the next moment.
