History
Three families belonging to the Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church decided to
meet together and form a prayer and Bible study group on June 2001. By the grace of God,
that small Bible and prayer group became a prayer community and has now grown not only in
numbers, but also in our spiritual life and Christian character. The Canadian Martyrs
Prayer Community meets every second and fourth Saturday of the month to worship the Lord
with songs, praises and Bible sharing. The children are taught basic Christian teachings
while couples and youth are given spiritual formation and guidance to help our members
grow in their personal relationship with Jesus and with one another as brothers and
sisters in Christ. CMPC also encourages our members to volunteer their time in the parish
as lectors, Eucharistic ministers, choir members, altar servers and LWC volunteers.
