CMYPC Group Project: Message from Tito Mon
October 3, 2008

Hello Teens!

I suggest that tomorrow, October 4 (Saturday), all of you will hold a group practice. Each group will decide for their own venue.

So now, start calling up each other for the group practice!

Make sure that you will work on the following:

  1. Your story
  2. The script/line for each member (the characters)
  3. Your strategy and style on how you will present your story
  4. Distribute the responsibilities. The leaders should not shoulder all the workload.
  5. Each member should have the initiative to contribute on the project
  6. Cooperation will bring success to your own team
  7. This is the time to show your talents
  8. Make this project as your serious business, no fooling around
  9. Remember, your grades are based on your performance
  10. Don't forget to clean up the place after you practice
  11. As a group, take time to pray the Holy Rosary

If you need help, you may contact me (phone number hidden for privacy - please refer to the e-mail that you received), or Tito Frolin, Tito Rolly, Tito Fidel, Tita Lydia, or Tita Lorna.

Good luck!

Tito Mon

CMYPC Group Project Details
September 28, 2008

For those who weren't able to make it to the previous prayer meeting, Tito Mon presented to us a drama project. In groups (see below), we need to come up with a drama performance (5-10 minutes max). The topic can be anything we've learned from past lessons or parables/excerpts from the Bible. Some or all of the following could be added to your presentation: dancing, music, props, etc. (please make sure your performance only includes elements appropriate to Church). The marking scheme will be posted soon. Yes, we are being marked for this, and the group with the highest mark wins a sweet prize!

After much deliberation between the leaders for half an hour, here is what Mikky came up with in only a couple of minutes:

  1. Linnette, Mikky, Martin, Jeno, Pauline V., Patricia V.
  2. Patricia T., Denise, Khristelle, Jarred, Kylo, Ryan
  3. Erwin, Sherilyn, Paul, Pauline J., Maria, Michael
  4. Rvie, Tomuel, Tobby, Rigel, Rachelyn, Doneli
  5. Job, Migi, K, Mygem, Ariane, Airra

If anyone wants to switch, please comment on the blog for others to see. The rules for switching are as follows:

  • There has to be a mutual agreement between the people switching (e.g., If Linnette wants to switch with Khristelle, then Khristelle must also indicate that she doesn't mind switching)
  • In each group, there has to be at least two (2) of each gender (e.g., 2 boys and 4 girls and vice versa, or 3 boys and 3 girls)

The performance date is October 25, 2008. Please feel free to comment on this blog entry if you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.

God Bless!

Happy Birthday, Pope Benedict!
photo
April 16, 2008

This entry is pretty late, but better late than never....

I would like to wish Pope Benedict XVI a happy and blessed 81st birthday. May he continue his great work as a faithful servant of God, and may he have many more birthdays to come!

Also, may God guide and protect Pope Benedict during his trip to the United States.

Reminder to CMYPC Members
April 14, 2008

I just wanted to remind all CMYPC members that you need to have your sacrifice ready by April 26 (next prayer meeting). Reminder of the sacrifice guidelines:

  • You need to be willing to do the sacrifice for a month
  • The sacrifice cannot be harmful to yourself or others
  • Preferrably, choose a sacrifice that is personally challenging
  • Remember that we are offering this sacrifice up to God
  • E-mail your sacrifice descriptions to linnettemaeo@yahoo.ca

On Apr. 27, please be by the front door of the church after mass and wear last year's retreat t-shirt if you have one. A reminder also to Job and Migi that they're announcing this at church the week before. That's it for now. Check back frequently for retreat updates! Hope to see you all next next week!

In Christ,
Linnette
